Group Classes
I teach Tango for beginning dancers through the DanceVision (DVIDA) syllabus, which includes the 8-count basic, fundamental figures and patterns to work on connection. I also focus on the six fundamental Tango elements: Walking, The Cross, Forward Ochos, Backward Ochos, Molinetes and Boleos.
For more intermediate and advanced dancers, classes focus on connection, musicality, technique, and improvisation. The classes also include figures such as Displacements, Stops, Ganchos, Enrosques, Enganches, Boleos and ways to connect the patterns. Many of these figures are also found in the DVIDA syllabus.

At the White Horse, the Level 2 class sessions will alternate between Close Embrace and Open Embrace. Close Embrace involves torso-to-torso contact and is great for crowded dance floors. Open Embrace (also known as Salon Style) has a more flexible embrace, allowing room for the dancers' legs to interact in more complex ways.
